Code of conduct Laracon EU 2015

Laracon EU is dedicated to providing an enjoyable, respectful and harassment-free event experience for everyone regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form and we expect all participants to conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any event venue, including talks. Laracon EU will not tolerate any inappropriate conduct by any event participants and we will take all appropriate steps to address any such conduct, up to and including expelling the participant from the event without a refund at the discretion of the event staff.

Harassment includes conduct such as offensive verbal comments, sexual images in public spaces, intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other activities, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing or inappropriate behavior are expected to comply immediately.

Expo halls, sponsor booths, vendor booths, and similar locations or activities are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. Exhibitors, booth staff, volunteers and all others participating in any way at the event are expected conduct themselves in a professional and businesslike manner. We expect participants to follow these rules at all event venues and event-related social events.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of staff immediately. Event staff can usually be identified by their t-shirts or special badges/lanyards.

Event staff will be happy to help participants to help ensure that participants have an enjoyable experience because we value your attendance.
